A Skills-Based Approach to Teaching and Learning Organic Chemistry
Description: A common experience for many students navigating organic chemistry for the first time is one fraught with anxiety and confusion as they attempt to pass the course by memorizing and regurgitating concepts. However, instructors know this strategy is a formula for failure. But how can you break these bad habits and get your students on the right track from the start? In this webinar, you’ll learn how to:
- Focus on practical skills in order to move students from memorizing to problem-solving
- Provide students with opportunities for self-assessment
- Use support from the textbook and online resources
- Implement active learning strategies in your classroom
