Wiley has partnered with Publons, part of the Web of Science group, since 2015, and our partnership has grown each year since—from the addition of new journal integrations to celebrating 100,000 reviewers to launching our Transparent Peer Review pilot with Publons and ScholarOne.
We believe that peer review is foundational in ensuring the quality and integrity of scientific and scholarly research. Peer reviewers serve as a fundamental component in research by ensuring that research findings are reliable and relevant before being communicated to the world, and their work requires a significant investment of time and effort that we believe should be recognized.
Publons grants researchers the ability to easily track, verify, and showcase their peer review contributions. Over 970 Wiley journals have integrated their Electronic Editorial Offices with Publons, streamlining the process for reviewers to add reviews to their Publons profiles.
As of June 2019, we’re excited to share that over 1,000,000 review records from Wiley journals have been added on Publons, from more than 180,000 Wiley reviewers globally.
