Over the past couple of months, the news has become nothing but headline after headline communicating new findings or information about COVID-19. Research is at the heart of the solutions to this situation, and we’re seeing how it is communicated around the world with varying levels of success.

This Study Shows is all about how we tell the story of science, and how we can use it to connect with people’s hearts, minds, and imagination. The world has changed since we put out season one last year, and we wanted to take the time to explore the emotional impact of science communication during COVID-19 before we launch into season two later this year.
Listen to hear what our hosts, Mary-Ann Ochota and Danielle George, think about the science communication happening now, and hear their conversations with Michelle Cortez, Medical Science and Technology Reporter at Bloomberg News, and Sir Simon Wessely, the President of the Royal Society of Medicine.
