Wiley has partnered with Web of Science Reviewer Recognition Service to recognize the time and effort of peer reviewers since 2015. Web of Science Reviewer Recognition Service helps researchers easily track and verify their peer review records and showcase their contributions to receive recognition for their fundamental work, including the option to download a customizable CV to add to funding and promotion applications. Over 290,000 reviewers for Wiley journals are already using Web of Science Reviewer Recognition Service.

In addition to enabling your journal’s reviewers to receive recognition, the big benefit for editors is that Web of Science Reviewer Recognition Service allows you to find relevant reviewers. Editors of journals who have integrated with Web of Science Reviewer Recognition Service get access to a private Editor dashboard through a unique link you’ll receive from your Wiley Journal Publishing Manager. On the dashboard, you can access a list of reviewers who have indicated they’re interested in reviewing for your journal, view their profile, and contact them directly. You can also search for new reviewers by subject area, region, or institution via the Web of Science Reviewer Recognition Service database. In addition, Web of Science Reviewer Recognition Service also offers free training for peer reviewers through their Reviewer Academy, which you can share with those wishing to learn how to conduct peer review.

Over 1,000 Wiley journals have connected their ScholarOne Manuscripts, Editorial Manager, or other Electronic Editorial Offices (EEO) with Web of Science Reviewer Recognition Service, so reviewers can opt-in and automatically get a verified record of their review added to their profile.

What’s the benefit of integrating your EEO with Web of Science Reviewer Recognition Service?

  • Increased reviewer satisfaction: Many of your reviewers are likely already using Web of Science Reviewer Recognition Service to manually add reviews, and integration makes the process automatic and seamless. You can look up your journal in Web of Science Reviewer Recognition Service database and see how many of your reviewers are adding reviews manually already.
  • Access to the Editor dashboard: Once integrated, you can access a private Editor dashboard for your journal, where you can track reviewer activity, demographics, and where manuscripts you’ve rejected were published.
  • Help finding reviewers: Web of Science Reviewer Recognition Service users can also indicate journals they’re interested in reviewing for. On the Editor dashboard, you can access this list for your journal. Using Web of Science Reviewer Recognition Service database, you can also research reviewers that are reviewing for other journals in your subject area.

If you haven’t integrated your EEO yet and would like to learn more, contact your Journal Publishing Manager.
