About the Author
David Taylor (Boulder, Colorado) is the founder of Intuitive Systems, where he provides consulting, teaching, and writing services on technologies, including UNIX and Solaris, and the principal of Growing Ventures, a consulting business for start-up companies. Mr. Taylor has been involved with UNIX since 1980 and created the Elm Mail System, one of the most popular UNIX email systems found on all Linux and Solaris distributions. His former positions include Research Scientist at HP's Palo Alto Research Labs and Senior Reviews Editor at SunWorld Magazine. At SunWorld, Mr. Taylor was intimately involved with Solaris and Sun hardware. In addition, he has authored many books, some of which are on UNIX.
