Nearly 700 carefully chosen and well-described illustrations are presented, including the highest quality colour reproductions of relevant acquisition and imaging techniques. the atlas format is uniquely suited to instruct the reader in the interpretation of normal and pathologic cardiac findings, diagnosed through three- and four-dimensional transesophageal and transthoracic echocardiography. Current issues and practices, as well as ongoing developments and possible future applications of this technology, are also discussed.
