About the Author

Dr. David K. Hayes has more than 35 years’ experience in hospitality management and education. He has held faculty positions Purdue University and Texas Tech University and served as Associate Dean of the Conrad Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston. He also held the position of Vice President of the Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLEI). He is the author of dozens of articles and multiple textbooks all focused on the field of hospitality management.

Dr. Joshua D. Hayes holds advanced degrees from Stanford University and the University of California, Davis. He works as a data scientist in Silicon Valley and specializes in applying advanced data management and analytics to drive business outcomes. He is the author of a number of articles explaining the importance of big data concepts and principles to the entertainment and hospitality  industries. His extensive knowledge of statistics, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning is especially noteworthy.

Peggy A. Hayes has over 25 years’ experience as a Project Manager at Panda Professionals Hospitality Management and Training, a training resources company that develops customized hospitality education-related solutions, which include computer simulations, print publications, training programs and seminars. In her role at Panda Pros, Ms. Hayes also serves as the organization’s Project Design and Copy Editor.
