About the Author
Douglass F. Taber is Professor of Chemistry at the University of Delaware, Newark, Delaware. Professor Taber received his B.S. from Stanford University in 1970, and his Ph.D. from Columbia University in 1974. Following a postdoctoral appointment with Professor Barry Trost at the University of Wisconsin, he was Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University from 1975 - 1982, when he moved to University of Delaware. Professor Taber has more than 150 publications in the organic chemistry field, and has authored 4 chapters and 2 books. His research interests include the stereoselective synthesis of natural products, new methods in synthetic organic chemistry, and computational organometallic chemistry in organic synthesis.
