About the Author

Heinz Gerischer was a German scientist. He was the thesis advisor of future Nobel laureate Gerhard Ertl. The Heinz Gerischer Award of the European section of The Electrochemical Society is named in his honour.

Charles W. Tobias is the editor of Advances in Electrochemical Science and Engineering, Volume 2, published by Wiley.
