About the Author
Robert M. Groves, PhD, is Program Director (Senior Research Scientist) in the Survey Research Center of the University of Michigan, where he also serves as Director in the Institute for Social Research and Professor of Sociology. Considered one of the leading authorities in the field of survey methods, Dr. Groves has published six books (all with Wiley) and over thirty-five journal articles on modes of data collection, interviewer behavior, and the use of computer assistance on the quality of survey data. Floyd J. Fowler, PhD, is President of the Foundation for Informed Medical Decision Making in Boston, MA (USA) and Senior Research Fellow in the Center for Survey Research at University of Massachusetts - Boston. Mick P. Couper, PhD, is Research Professor at the Institute for Social Research, University of Michigan and in the Joint Program in Survey Methodology at the University of Maryland. Dr. Couper is lead editor of Computer Assisted Survey Information Collection (Wiley). James M. Lepkowski, PhD, is Senior Research Scientist at the Institute for Social Research at the University of Michigan, where is also Associate Professor in the Department of Biostatistics.
