Thus Spoke Zarathustra: The Philosophy Classic

Description

A MASTERPIECE OF MODERN PHILOSOPHY

German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche’s Thus Spoke Zarathustra is a monumental work exploring the mysteries of life, power, humanity and God. Widely considered the masterpiece of his career that ties all his other writings together, it received little attention during his lifetime but became hugely influential.

Taking the perspective of the protagonist Zarathustra who, after years of meditation, comes down from a mountain to offer his wisdom to the world, the book offers enduring observations on God, the Übermensch (superman), the will to power, and the purpose of human life.

As part of the bestselling Capstone Classics series, this deluxe hardcover edition is essential reading for anyone interested in Nietzsche’s unique outlook and the development of Western philosophy. It includes an insightful Introduction by Dirk R. Johnson, who decodes this most enigmatic of Nietzche’s works.
