About the Author
Theo Mang. 1963 diploma for mining engineering, 1967 doctorate for chemical engineering at the University of Clausthal, Germany, 1967 activities in the field of lubricants for Fuchs in Mannheim, R & D and technical application., 1980 head of the technical department and 1983 - 2001 member of the Executive Board of the global Fuchs Group, first for Technology later including Group Purchasing and Human Resources, published 80 scientific-technical papers including lubricant related books, 1998 Professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the RWTH. Aachen, 2003 Georg -Vogelpohl - Award of the German Society of Tribology.
Wilfried Dresel received his diploma in chemistry 1972 at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany and his doctorate 1976 in carbosilane chemistry. His industrial career began 1977 in the field of preparative organic and pharmaceutical chemistry. From 1979 to 1983 he worked for a small company on lubricants for fine mechanical instruments. He joined Fuchs 1984, and is responsible for the development of lubricating greases, first on a national, later on as well on a global basis. He has authored 35 scientific papers and contributions to books.
