About the Author
Ludmilla Ignatiev Callaham (deceased) was a noted lexicographer,translator, chemist, and the author of the three previous editionsof Callaham's Russian-English Dictionary of Science and Technology.A Russian language scholarship and awards endowment has beenestablished at the University of South Carolina to honor her lifeand accomplishments.

Patricia E. Newman is an electrical engineer, translator, andsenior member of the technical staff at the Sandia NationalLaboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is also a formerPresident of the American Translators Association.

John R. Callaham is a chemical engineer, editor, and former SeniorVice President-Editorial at McGraw-Hill.
