Description
The Journal of Latin American and Caribbean Anthropology welcomes contributions that integrate anthropological theory, innovative new ethnography, and interdisciplinary approaches. The JLACA maintains an inclusive geographical scope that includes diasporic populations throughout the Americas and regional comparisons of lived experience in Latin American, Asian, and African communities. The journal’s purview also includes global processes—migration, climate change, indigenous movements, social media’s growth, drug trafficking, and authoritarianism among others –that interconnect different regions within the Americas and the Americas with other world regions.
