Description
The most comprehensive guide to controlling and cultivating annual bluegrass

Annual bluegrass is often considered a problematic weed. However, evolved forms of annual bluegrass can be highly persistent and competitive in mixed stands with other turfgrass species. Examining annual bluegrass as both a weed and as a desirable turfgrass species, Poa Annua: Physiology, Culture, and Control of Annual Bluegrass is packed with practical tools for controlling and maintaining healthy growth of this diverse species, while addressing in helpful detail the anatomy, morphology, genetics, and physiology of the species.

Leading, internationally known experts examine how healthy annual bluegrass greens, tees, and fairways can flourish throughout the growing season. Coverage includes discussions on the diseases, insect pests, and common weeds that harm the species, as well as the industry’s latest research on how to control them chemically, culturally, and biologically.

With more than four dozen informative illustrations and tables, Poa Annua: Physiology, Culture, and Control of Annual Bluegrass is an essential reference for golf course superintendents, field managers, greenkeepers, golf course architects, and environmental and agricultural scientists.
