The Journal of Sociolinguistics is a global forum for research involving language and society. It takes a holistic view of language, seeing it as a reflection of- but also a constitutive factor in- social life. Contributions to the Journal come from a variety of approaches and the scope of the journal is wide-ranging, encompassing a range of languages and contexts and employing both micro and macro linguistic techniques.
