Description

Particles of colloidal size (nano scale) have received growing interest because of the many versatile roles they can play in our lives – the better we understand how they function, the more we can use them to our advantage.

This book is a compilation of invited review articles authored by some of the most well-known scientists in the field which covers the latest developments and achievements in colloid and interface science. It is also a dedication to one of the most famous scientists in the field of colloid science – Professor Tharwart Tadros – and most of contributors have worked beside this brilliant man at some pint in their career.

Some of the topics discussed are:

  • colloid (nano) particles
  • surfactant solutions
  • wetting phenomena
  • thin liquid films
  • colloidal liquids
  • emulsions
  • papermaking
  • delivery agents

This book is targeted not just at chemists and material scientists, but anyone involved in a variety of industries where colloid science has a major impact on their lives.
