Tej K. Bhatia is Professor of Linguistics at Syracuse University and a Fellow at the Center for the Study of Popular Television at the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. He has published a number of books and articles in the area of bilingualism and multiculturalism, language and cognition, media (advertising) discourse, and sociolinguistics, and has been consultant to several academic, administrative, and business organizations.
William C. Ritchie is Associate Professor of Linguistics at Syracuse University. His publications include an edited volume entitled Second Language Acquisition Research: Issues and Implications (1978) and two handbooks co-edited with Tej K. Bhatia, Handbook of Child Language Acquisition (1999) and Handbook of Second Language Acquisition (1996).
