About the Author
Joseph John Bevelacqua, PhD, CHP, is the manager of health physics at a major midwestern nuclear utility. His health physics experience spans more than twenty years in industry, government, and university settings, and includes the areas of shielding design and analysis, applied radiological protection, and the fuel cycle, accelerator, power reactor, environmental, and university health physics areas. Dr. Bevelacqua was also a key player in the Three Mile Island cleanup. He has written more than sixty published articles in the nuclear field.
